About our New Building

We're excited to announce that this year we received a very generous gift of a new building. This was a gift from Life Church Southampton, to whom we are incredibly grateful!

The building is Barbe Baker Hall, Beacon Road, West End. It will require a considerable amount of work to restore it to use, as it's not seen use for several years. However, we are already hard at work on repairing and renovating the building to get it ready for worship once again.

Latest on the Renovation Work

Here are some photos from today's work, where we removed a significant amount of earth from around the building. It was necessary to dig a trench around much of the building to combat a problem with rising damp.

Other repair works that have already been completed include replacing rotten timbers that had caused one corner to sink several inches. The structure is now properly supported and ready for roof repairs.
